Vocalist
Critically acclaimed rock vocalist, Christine Mascott has spent the last 30 years working in many different aspects of the entertainment industry. Most recently she fronted the Woodstock era tribute band, Groovy Afternoon. Her distinctive vocals attracted huge audiences throughout the Northeast.
She got her start in rock as a featured vocalist with The Drop Band, offering her signature sounds to the band's own brand of psychedelic rock on three album releases. She was considered for a Grammy in 2002 for Best Female Rock Vocalist for the album There's Only Sound independently released Syberdelix Records. Her vocals have received international radio play and she has sung in various venues in New York, New England and beyond and also worked as a session vocalist in New York and MA on various recording projects. The Drop Band's music was also licensed to several MTV shows, independent films and the NBC TV show, Ed. She is also a Voting Member of NARAS (The Grammys). |
